About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned and strategic Public Relations Lead to drive their communication efforts remotely from Klerksdorp . This senior role requires a visionary leader to develop and execute comprehensive PR strategies that enhance brand reputation and visibility on a national and international scale. You will manage all media relations, crisis communications, and corporate messaging, ensuring alignment with the company's vision and values. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and execute innovative, long-term public relations strategies to achieve business objectives.
- Oversee all media relations activities, including proactive pitching, relationship building, and response management.
- Lead crisis communication efforts, developing protocols and responding effectively to challenging situations.
- Craft compelling corporate messaging, speeches, and executive communications.
- Manage and mentor junior PR staff or external agencies supporting communication efforts.
- Monitor media landscapes and industry trends, advising senior leadership on strategic opportunities and risks.
Requirements
- 10+ years of progressive experience in Public Relations, with a significant portion in leadership roles.
- Demonstrated success in developing and implementing high-impact PR campaigns.
- Exceptional media relations skills, with a strong network of established contacts.
- Expertise in crisis communications, corporate reputation management, and strategic messaging.
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities, with a data-driven approach to PR.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, or a related discipline.
