About the Job This fully remote role offers an exciting opportunity for a South Africa-based legal professional to provide strategic legal support across a diverse and international software group. Reporting to the Head of Legal, you will work closely with senior leaders to advise on commercial operations, manage legal risk, and drive legal best practices throughout the organisation. Duties will include: Providing legal advice to business leaders across multiple international software business units Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a broad range of commercial agreements, with a strong focus on software licensing contracts Advising on legal matters related to acquisitions, integrations, and strategic partnerships Supporting compliance with local and international regulations relevant to the software sector Managing external counsel and supervising junior legal team members Ensuring robust contract lifecycle governance and legal risk reporting Overseeing disputes and liaising with regulators as needed About the Successful Applicant You will be a qualified South African attorney with significant post-admission experience in commercial law, ideally gained in-house or with clients in the technology or telecommunications sectors. You must have proven expertise in negotiating software licensing agreements, with the confidence to manage stakeholders across jurisdictions and lead on complex legal matters.
