About the Role
Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Software Developer with extensive experience in Java Enterprise Edition (JEE) to join their established IT team in Kimberley . This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining complex enterprise-level applications, ensuring performance, scalability, and reliability. You will work closely with architects and other developers to deliver high-quality software solutions that meet stringent business requirements. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain robust, scalable enterprise applications using Java and JEE frameworks (e.g., Spring, Hibernate).
- Design and implement efficient database solutions using SQL and relational databases.
- Write clean, well-documented, and maintainable code, adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful delivery of software projects.
- Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues in production environments.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of professional experience in Java software development .
- Strong proficiency in Java and JEE technologies, including Spring Boot, Hibernate, and JMS.
- Experience with relational database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and SQL.
- Familiarity with front-end technologies and web services (RESTful APIs).
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
