Job Purpose The System Analyst ensures that GIT Service Management systems are maintained and developed to meet GIT Service Management objectives. The role delivers stable, high‑quality software systems to TIH, understanding and analysing requirements for system changes and new systems. The Analyst draws up technical impact documents and writes technical documentation to support developers in delivering on the requirement. Responsibilities Administration: Produce, update and provide best‑practice support for the Service Management system, databases and other departmental systems; advise colleagues and use expertise to improve processes. Single Point of Contact (SPOC): Act as the liaison between Business, Support Teams, Vendors and GIT. Design & Conceptualisation: Research and interpret data, trends and benchmarks relevant to digital product/service design. System Development: Design, develop and maintain the GIT Service Management system (SysAid); test and implement new enhancements according to best practices. Process Documentation: Support and contribute to the documentation of “as is” and “to be” processes, describing the changes required to migrate to the “to be” capability. Database/Systems Specifications: Provide information and comments on suitability during the approval process for system or database specifications, ensuring standards, protocols and data integrity. ITIL Frameworks: Apply ITIL principles in system design, maintenance and deployments. Information Security: Support implementation of required security measures such as firewalls or message encryption; monitor performance and notify security experts of any problems. Testing & Performance: Analyze routine performance tests for websites/applications, monitor, diagnose and correct performance issues. Personal Development: Participate in assessment and development planning activities; pursue formal and informal training, conferences and specialist media to maintain an understanding of relevant technology, regulation and industry best practices. Operational Compliance: Identify non‑compliance instances with the organisation’s policies, regulations and codes of conduct; report and escalation as appropriate. SLA & Contracts: Ensure Service Level Agreements and contracts are in place and reviewed. Standard Operating Procedures: Align SOPs with enterprise processes and governance for compliance. Education Matric/SAQA Equivalent (Essential) Relevant ITIL certification and/or accreditation (Essential) Experience 1–3 years’ experience in IT Service Management, managing and operating the function (Essential) Experience with UML designs and/or IBMI/SQL (Advantageous) Think you have what it takes to be part of an unstoppable team who constantly finds better ways to give peace of mind?
