Overview We are strengthening our Paediatrician team with 2 FTE Consultant Paediatrician opportunities available. Join our dedicated teams at Kalgoorlie and Esperance Health Campus and make a lasting difference in the lives of young patients and their families. This is a recruitment pool to fill Permanent (Sessional, Part‑Time or Full Time) and Fixed Term (Sessional, Part‑Time or Full Time) appointments. We currently have 1 FTE vacant and can provide a Fixed‑Term Full‑Time contract for five years, with the possibility of extension and/or permanency. About The Role As a Consultant Paediatrician, you will provide high‑quality clinical care to paediatric and neonatal patients across the Goldfields region. While primarily based at Kalgoorlie Health Campus, you will also contribute to services at Esperance Hospital and outreach to surrounding communities. You will lead the delivery of patient‑centred care, contribute to clinical governance, and participate in policy development and service improvement. The role includes mentoring and supervising registrars, residents, and interns, and may involve an on‑call component to support emergency and critical care, including neonatal medicine. You will be part of a dedicated team of Paediatricians supported by trainees, including a Senior Registrar, Registrar, Residents, and an Intern. About You You are a skilled and compassionate Consultant Paediatrician with expertise in managing acute and chronic paediatric conditions, and a strong interest in neonatal care and developmental paediatrics. You are a natural leader and mentor, enjoy teaching and supervising junior doctors, and foster a collaborative team culture. You should be able to navigate high‑pressure situations, embrace clinical innovation, and adapt to rural practice. You are committed to equity in healthcare and respectful of cultural diversity, with a focus on improving outcomes for Aboriginal children and families.
