Health & Safety Manager Ballymore is a family‑owned property developer with over 40 years of experience, managing 11,000 homes across 12 luxury residential developments in London. We are looking for a Health & Safety Manager to join us at our Head Office in Canary Wharf, E14. Hours: 8:30 – 17:30 Shift pattern: Monday – Friday (1x day WFH on Friday) Location: E14, Canary Wharf Contract: 40 hpw/permanent What You’ll Do Auditing, Tracking & Reporting. Serve as the primary coordinator for fire, health, and safety across all properties. Conduct on‑site audits every quarter for each property, covering a checklist that includes Health & Safety documentation and Standard Operating Procedures utilizing Vantify Risk Manager, Incident reporting system, and internally documented procedures. Carry out physical inspection of properties, including controlled and high‑risk areas. Interview key team members to establish compliance with procedures. Prepare technical reports on findings. Maintain tracker documentation in Monday.com and Excel. Conduct “Stress Test” exercises to test emergency preparedness of property management teams. Attend sites following any incidents to carry out immediate mitigations and conduct investigations. Risk Assessments Plan and organise the risk assessment programme, selecting providers for all risk assessments and ensuring they are completed and documented. Include Fire, Health and Safety, Water Hygiene, Leisure facilities and Play Equipment risk assessments, generally completed annually on each building. Carry out Fire and Health & Safety risk assessments personally two out of every three years. Follow up with providers and property management to ensure findings are recorded and actions completed. Accidents, Incidents and Near Misses Operate system of reporting for accidents, incidents and near misses. Attend serious incidents to advise on mitigations (including out‑of‑hours response). Conduct investigations and advise on lessons learned. Compile a monthly report on accidents, incidents and near misses. Strategic Work Develop and contribute to relevant business strategies. Serve as first point of contact for Health & Safety matters. Contribute to innovation. Assist in dealing with enforcing authorities. What You’ll Need To Be Successful Chartered Health and Safety (CMIOSH). Intent to continue with lifelong learning and professional development. 5+ years experience carrying out risk assessments. Technical knowledge of high‑rise residential buildings. Proven track record in managing risk, health, and safety. Strong auditing and reporting skills at a senior level, producing high‑quality technical reports. Strong communication and people‑management skills. Solid understanding of current legislation and standards. Experience with Vantify, Monday.com and PowerBI an advantage.
