Responsibilities Drive and implement strategic objectives for the process and quality division. Analyse plant losses and lead cost-reduction initiatives. Develop and execute annual improvement plans aligned with operational goals. Manage and mentor direct reports, fostering a high-performance culture. Promote a safe, inclusive and innovative work environment. Ensure compliance with company safety, health and environmental policies. Formulate and manage cost-effective raw material and packaging strategies. Maintain and improve product performance based on customer and market feedback. Ensure adherence to national quality standards (e.g. SANS 266). Oversee compliance with ISO 9001:2015 and support World Class Manufacturing (WCM) initiatives. Sustain and improve Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) and QMS outputs. Lead new product development in collaboration with marketing and sales teams. Ensure QMS integrity during change implementation. Promote a culture of customer focus and continuous improvement. Deliver on agreed quality and control plan targets. Requirements BEng or equivalent in Chemical Engineering (essential) Qualification in Quality Control / Management (advantageous) Minimum 5 years in a chemical / process / quality engineering role Prior experience in quality and project management Exposure to WCM, Lean or Six Sigma methodologies (advantageous) Strong analytical, problem-solving and planning skills Effective communicator with strong report writing and presentation ability Computer literate (Word, Excel, PowerPoint; Visio and Python advantageous) Capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and detail Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
