Employer Description Our client specialises in underground mobile mining equipment Job Description You will be responsible for the following: Designing of mechanical systems for underground mobile mining equipment using Mechanical techniques and models Simulate mechanical systems using software tools such as SolidWorks or Ansys Understand the advanced concepts of mechanical systems used in underground mining equipment and can identify and define testing criteria and validation methods based on industry standards Create documentation including engineering calculations, FEA Reports, CFD Reports, ECNs, etc. for more complex mechanical systems with minimal guidance and incorporates feedback to revise and improve document quality Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and standards for complex mechanical systems, navigating legal and regulatory landscapes effectively Office setting: some travel to mines, NPD & Test & Validation sites Qualifications BTech/BSc Mechanical Engineering Skills 2 to 5 years experience designing underground mining equipment Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications and software tools such as SolidWorks or Ansys. Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings and assemblies Familiar with industry standards and regulations related to mechanical systems for underground mining equipment application Have a good understanding of the integration of mechanical systems used in underground mining equipment Salary/Package R30,000 basic per month Benefits Medical Aid Provident Fund
