Geologist

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE JOB: Our client is looking for an experienced Geologist with excellent organizational and planning skills and an above-average communicator. Ideally, the person must have a minimum of 5 - 10 years of mining and exploration experience. The job will involve coordinating, analyzing, and reporting to the Chief Operating Officer. Further to this you must have a working understanding of contract and/or project management. The job will entail field work and travel within the greater Gauteng and surrounding areas. This may necessitate you spending several nights away from home at certain periods. They should be comfortable with geologic modeling and basin analysis. BSc Honours Degree in Geology or Geoscience Proven experience as a Geologist Experience with various geological techniques like mining, boring and numerical modelling Experience using geology software (e.g. ArcGIS, Surpac) and other data and modelling tools. Familiarity with both the MPRDA and NEMA Ability to handle and analyse data and 3D models An analytical mind & Attention to detail Better than average communication skills (oral and written) Teamwork
