Concor Buildings invites suitably qualified and experienced candidates to apply for the position of a Quantity Surveyor for the MU01 Residential Project in the Western Cape. The successful incumbent will be responsible for providing commercial, cost, and contractual support to ensure that the MU01 Residential Project is delivered within budget, aligned with contractual obligations, and compliant with Concor Buildings’ commercial standards. The QS will be responsible for measurement, cost control, subcontract administration, and assisting in the preparation of monthly commercial reports. Key Responsibilities The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): Assist in preparing and managing the project budget and cost plan. Monitor actual costs against the budget and update cost forecasts. Support the preparation of monthly cost reports and cash flow projections. Identify potential cost risks and report them to the Senior QS or Contracts Manager. Measurement & Billing Conduct accurate measurements, take-offs, and re-measurements from drawings and on‑site data. Assist with the preparation of monthly progress claims to the client. Validate subcontractor measurements and assist with issuing payment certificates. Maintain and update the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) in line with construction drawings and variations. Contract Administration Assist in the administration of the main contract and subcontract agreements (JBCC, NEC, FIDIC). Prepare and track contractual notices for variations, delays, or scope changes. Support the preparation and assessment of variation orders and claims. Maintain accurate commercial documentation and records. Procurement & Subcontract Management Assist in preparing tender enquiry documentation for subcontract packages. Participate in tender evaluations and support subcontractor selection. Prepare draft subcontract agreements for review by the Senior QS. Monitor subcontractor performance and ensure alignment with contractual obligations. Reporting & Governance Contribute to the preparation of monthly commercial reports. Ensure compliance with Concor’s commercial policies, procedures, and audit requirements. Maintain organised electronic and hard‑copy commercial records. Risk, Change & Opportunity Management Identify and log potential commercial risks and opportunities. Assist with monitoring changes to project scope and updating cost implications. Participate in project reviews and provide commercial input as required. Stakeholder Engagement Liaise with site management, subcontractors, and consultants on commercial matters. Support effective communication and collaboration within the project delivery team. Represent the commercial team professionally in all interactions. Qualifications National Diploma or BTech/BSc in Quantity Surveying or Construction Management. Registration with ASAQS or SACQSP (advantageous, but not mandatory). Experience 5 years’ experience as a Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry. Experience working on building projects, preferably residential or mixed‑use developments. Strong understanding of contract administration, measurement, and cost control. #J-18808-Ljbffr
