Our client is a well-established and reputable asset management company. Due to rapid growth over the past few years on the back of an excellent business strategy and brilliant investment performance, their distribution team is looking for an individual with a strong investment background who can effectively engage with clients and prospects to meet the increasing demand for business. This role would suit an individual who can utilise their investment expertise to provide exceptional services to both clients and internal stakeholders, contributing to the growth of the firm's asset management business.

Furthermore, this role will suit a person who understands the investments universe, as such you have excellent technical skills and are able to liaise with clients and offer high-level insight and guidance as to the company's investment decision-making processes.

ROLE TITLE

Investment Specialist / Senior Institutional Specialist

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:
  1. Respond to investment-related client inquiries and create tailored content that meets specific client needs and interests.
  2. Ensure that all client-facing materials align with the firm's investment philosophy and objectives, maintaining consistency and clarity.
  3. Develop a comprehensive understanding of the firm's investment products and other asset management solutions.
  4. Create narratives using market data, fund performance information, and business strategies.
  5. Stay informed about market trends, economic developments, and new investment strategies to communicate insights effectively.
  6. Lead and complete the firm's annual UNPRI reporting process, ensuring accurate and transparent reporting of ESG metrics and initiatives.
  7. Act as the ESG and UNPRI subject matter expert for internal stakeholders and existing and prospective clients.
  8. Collaborate with the Marketing team to develop and implement the firm's annual Stewardship Report.
  9. Assist with the creation of due diligence questionnaires (DDQs) and client documentation that are tailored to clients' specific needs and objectives when required.
  10. Review and check the accuracy and completeness of all DDQs and client responses before final submission, ensuring alignment with firm standards and regulatory requirements.
  11. Work closely with the Operations, Marketing, Compliance, and Legal teams to ensure that all materials, messaging, and processes comply with regulatory standards.
  12. Review and edit monthly fund MDD commentary.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
  1. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  2. In-depth knowledge of asset management products, investment strategies, and capital markets.
  3. Experience of working with DDQs, client queries, and related documentation processes.
  4. A bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related field; CFA designation is preferred.
  5. A minimum of 5 years of experience in asset management.
  6. Experience working in a collaborative environment with cross-functional teams.
TECHNICAL SKILLS:
  1. Strong understanding of portfolio management, financial analysis, and performance measurement tools.
  2. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), CRM tools, and financial databases such as Bloomberg or Morningstar.
  3. Familiarity with regulatory requirements and industry best practices for asset management.

  5. Solutions-driven with strong analytical skills.
