About the Role
Our client is looking for a skilled and certified HVAC Technician to serve clients throughout the Durban metropolitan area. This role involves the installation, maintenance, and repair of heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for commercial and residential properties. You will be responsible for diagnosing system malfunctions, performing necessary repairs, and ensuring optimal system performance and energy efficiency. Key Responsibilities
Install new HVAC systems, including ductwork, piping, and control systems, ensuring compliance with design specifications. Perform regular maintenance and servicing on various HVAC equipment, including cleaning filters, checking refrigerant levels, and lubricating moving parts. Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical issues within HVAC systems, identifying root causes of malfunctions. Respond to emergency service calls, providing timely and effective solutions to restore comfort systems. Educate clients on system operation, maintenance recommendations, and potential efficiency improvements. Maintain accurate records of services performed, parts used, and time spent on each job. Requirements Certified HVAC Technician with a strong understanding of refrigeration cycles, electrical controls, and air balancing. Proven experience in installing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of HVAC systems. Proficiency with diagnostic tools and equipment for HVAC troubleshooting. Excellent customer service skills and the ability to communicate technical information clearly. Valid driver's license and ability to work flexible hours, including some weekends if needed.
