Riggers

Your Responsibilities Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and determine which rigging tools to use. Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. Thorough attention to detail to ensure perfect rigging techniques. Performing of rigging related activities to optimal quality standards and meeting on production delivery requirements. Advanced planning to determine the time required for completion of a specific job. Attending to breakdown requirement work. Must be able to conduct basic maintenance and quality checks on the equipment. Assist in training of apprentices / other staff members may be required Inspecting and preparing loads that need to be moved. Setting, aligning and levelling heavy equipment machinery. Determine types of equipment, tools, or materials needed for rigging jobs Preparing rigging equipment including beams, pulleys, clamps, and bolts. Monitoring and maintaining rigging equipment. Maneuvering loads using heavy equipment machinery and by hand. Ensuring compliance with industry and company safety procedures. Communicating with the rigging and construction team. Breaking down rigging equipment and conducting post-rigging inspections. Signal or verbally direct workers engaged in hoisting and moving loads to ensure safety of workers and materials. Communicate with co-workers to coordinate installations or repairs. Test rigging equipment to ensure proper functioning, safety and reliability.
