Minimum Requirements:

  • Matric with a related tertiary qualification
  • Minimum of 3 years demonstrated experience in demand planning role OR similar
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Valid driver's license with own transportation
  • Must be willing to travel as required
  • Excellent communication skills - both written and verbal and facilitation skills with the ability to work with others to achieve objectives
  • Excellent numerical commercial and analytical skills
  • Excellent problem-solving skills as well as interpersonal communication skills
  • Excellent reporting skills
  • Providing comprehensive support to all stakeholders
  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date demand figures
  • Present yourself in a professional manner

Responsibilities:

  • Develop an accurate short and long-term volume forecast
  • Evaluate historical trens to model future demand
  • Obtain information on occurrences like promotional activity, new product launches, discontinuations
  • Track promotional and new product performance
  • Provide a rolling weekly short-term forecast = 8 weeks
  • Submit monthly, a long-term forecast = 18 month identifying the gaps from the previous forecast version and business targets
  • Supply monthly forecast data to support principle accounts, planning and procurement functions
  • Align forecast data with business service providers
  • Measure and evaluate the forecast accuracy on a weekly/monthly basis against the targeted parameters
  • Analyse trends using analytical, marketing and sales data to improve the accuracy of future demand
  • Assist the key stakeholders by performing regular meetings to gain their input and forecast sign-off
  • Submit reports weekly / monthly providing feedback and recommendations for improvement.
