Head of Subject : Information Technology & CAT

The School invites applications for the following position: FULL TIME Head of Subject: Information Technology & CAT

Holy Rosary School, situated in Edenvale, Johannesburg, is an Independent Catholic Girls' School and a member of ISASA.

We are seeking to appoint a dynamic, full-time Head of Subject: Information Technology and CAT, who is passionate about children and has a creative and curious mindset. The successful candidate must meet the following minimum requirements:

  1. Bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science, Education (FET / GET) or related field.
  2. Prior IEB teaching experience with a minimum of 5 years' subject specialization.
  3. Proven track record of delivering outstanding results.
  4. Passion for teaching IT, Coding and Robotics programmes and a commitment to pupil success.
  5. Solid knowledge of Delphi, Java, SQL and object-oriented programming principles.
  6. Knowledge of single-board computing devices (micro: bit and Arduino) would be an advantage.
  7. Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate and engage effectively with pupils and colleagues.
  8. Excellent administrative, planning and organizing skills.
  9. Willingness to be fully involved in the life of the school.
  10. Matric marking experience would be an added advantage.
  11. Valid SACE registration.
  12. Must be respectful of the School's Catholic Ethos.
