Qualifications:
  • BCom in Accounting Degree
  • Completed Articles would be a huge advantage
  • Must have at least 5 (five) years experience within similar position in 4 / 5* hotels
  • Must be advanced/administrative in Pastel, Fidelio/Opera programs
  • Computer Literate/advanced in Microsoft Office (Excel and Word)
Job description:
  • Full accounting function of the hotel
  • Ensure strict deadlines are met to produce monthly management accounts
  • Financial reviews with Heads of departments
  • Annual budgets
  • Risk management
  • Foreign exchange, Working capital dealings, maximizing cash flows and cash management
  • Liaison with external auditors and preparation of annual financial statements
  • Implement and monitor Internal controls, corporate governance and IFRS requirements
  • Staff management and development
  • Good understanding of the business
  • Revenue integration from one system to another
  • Strong experience with month end procedures
  • Management accounts management quarterly board packs
  • Deadline oriented is a non-negotiable
