Position Details Experience: 8 Years related experience Contract Period: November 1 2025 – December Location: Hybrid – Midrand / Menlyn / Rosslyn / Home Office rotation Team: WIT PARTS SCE Citizenship: South African citizens / residents preferred (valid work permit holders considered) Essential Skills Requirements Education: IT Degree and/or relevant qualifications Experience: Minimum 5 years of SAP development experience Certification: SAP Certification required Expert Level: Proven track record in complex SAP implementations Core SAP Development Expertise (Mandatory) SAP ABAP Development: Strong SAP ABAP knowledge and programming skills SAP Modules: Proficiency in SAP FICO, SD, MM modules System Configuration: Ability to conduct SAP Module process configuration Documentation: Experience with development and functional documentation Authorization Management: Analyze and scope end‑user authorization roles Testing Excellence: Conduct Unit tests, Integration tests and System Integration security tests Solution Design: Support functional teams with issues using solutions‑based approach Agile Responsibilities: Additional duties as per Agile Working Model (AWM) Charter Advantageous Skills Technical & Language Skills German Language: German speaking capabilities (advantageous) Agile Methodology: Experience in Agile methodologies Agile Tools: Proficiency in Confluence and JIRA platforms Testing Tools: Experience with HP ALM and JIRA (X‑Ray) Flexibility: Ability to work weekends / shifts or extended hours when required Key Responsibilities Business Analysis & Requirements Management Requirements Analysis: Understand business requirements and prepare AS‑IS and TO‑BE documents Blueprint Development: Create and obtain sign‑off for Business Blueprint documents Client Interaction: Engage with clients through meetings, calls and emails Cross‑Module Collaboration: Interact with consultants from other SAP modules User Training: Prepare user manuals and conduct training for business process owners Technical Development & Configuration ABAP Development: Perform ABAP debugging and workbench‑related new development / enhancements System Configuration: Set up organizational structures for Materials Management Master Data Management: Prepare master data templates for Material Master, Vendor Master etc. Interface Development: Understand and implement interfaces IDOC and RFC processing User Interface Solutions: Develop user interface transactional solutions Testing & Quality Assurance Test Documentation: Prepare comprehensive testing documents and perform internal testing Integration Testing: Conduct integration testing with other SAP modules Change Request Testing: Test Change Requests and prepare detailed test results Regression Testing: Carry out comprehensive regression testing Test Data Management: Prepare test data for testing Change Requests Production Support & Maintenance Go‑Live Support: Handle go‑live preparation and post go‑live support Ticket Management: Handle tickets and tasks within defined SLAs Production Support: Execute analysis and resolution of production support calls Issue Resolution: Troubleshoot system issues and provide comprehensive support Configuration Changes: Execute required changes through system configuration Change Management & Documentation Change Requests: Raise Change Requests and write Functional Specifications Cut‑Over Strategy: Prepare cut‑over strategies for MM objects Process Documentation: Maintain all SAP Module functional documentation Knowledge
