Storage Pre-Sales Engineer

As a Storage Pre-Sales Engineer, you will play a crucial role in understanding the unique requirements of our clients and recommending Huawei storage solutions tailored to their needs. To be successful in this role, you must have a solid foundation and extensive experience in Data Centre Storage, and an overall experience in the IT industry spanning from 5 to 8 years. Your expertise will ensure successful pre-sales engagements and drive the adoption of Huawei storage solutions in our client base.

Duties & Responsibilities

Understand Client Needs:

  1. Collaborate with the sales team to comprehend the specific storage needs and challenges of potential clients.
  2. Conduct in-depth discussions and assessments to gather detailed requirements related to data center storage.
  3. Utilize your extensive knowledge of Data Centre Storage to recommend appropriate Huawei storage solutions that align with client requirements and preferences.
  4. Provide technical expertise and guidance to clients on the features, benefits, and capabilities of Huawei storage solutions.
  5. Engage in pre-sales activities by creating technical proposals, demonstrations, and presentations to showcase Huawei storage offerings.
  6. Collaborate with the technical team to configure and design storage solutions based on client requirements.
  7. Conduct training sessions for internal teams to enhance their understanding of Huawei storage solutions.
  8. Stay updated on the latest developments and advancements in Huawei storage technologies, sharing knowledge within the organization.

Technical Documentation and Reporting:

  1. Develop comprehensive technical documentation, including solution designs, diagrams, and presentations, to support sales efforts.
  2. Provide regular reports and updates on pre-sales activities, opportunities, and outcomes to the management team.

Customer Relationship Management:

  1. Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to understand their evolving storage needs and preferences.
  2. Gather feedback from clients to continuously improve our storage solutions and services.
  3. Participate in weekly engagements with vendor technical counterparts.
  4. Participate in four partner technical engagements per month.

Obtain Brand Certifications:

  1. Obtain all technical pre- and post-sales certifications as required by the brand/employer.
Desired Experience & Qualification
  1. Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or in a related field preferred.
  2. 5 to 8 years of experience in Data Centre Storage, irrespective of brand, with a focus on pre-sales engineering and solution architecture.
  3. In-depth knowledge of Huawei storage products and solutions is preferable.
  4. Strong understanding of storage technologies, including SAN, NAS, and object storage.
  5. Excellent communication and presentation skills to effectively convey technical information to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  6. Certifications related to Huawei storage products will be an advantage.
