About the Role

Our client is seeking a seasoned Real Estate Investment Manager to lead their investment strategy and portfolio management from their Stellenbosch, Western Cape office. This hybrid role requires a strategic thinker with extensive experience in identifying, analyzing, and acquiring profitable real estate assets. You will be responsible for overseeing the entire investment lifecycle, from sourcing deals and conducting due diligence to structuring transactions and managing asset performance. The hybrid model allows for essential in-person collaboration and deal-making, combined with the efficiency of remote work for detailed analysis and reporting. Key Responsibilities

• Identify and source new real estate investment opportunities across various property sectors, focusing on the Western Cape region.
• Conduct thorough due diligence, including financial analysis, market research, site inspections, and risk assessment.
• Develop and present investment proposals and financial models to investment committees and stakeholders.
• Negotiate acquisition terms and structure complex real estate transactions.
• Oversee the management of the existing investment portfolio, ensuring optimal performance and value creation.
• Develop and implement strategic asset management plans to maximize returns.
• Monitor market trends, economic indicators, and regulatory changes affecting real estate investments.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers, developers, lenders, and other industry professionals.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on portfolio performance, market analysis, and investment recommendations.
• Ensure compliance with all investment policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.

Requirements

• Master's degree in Finance, Real Estate, Economics, or a related field; MBA or CFA is highly preferred.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in real estate investment, private equity, or corporate finance.
• Demonstrated success in sourcing, underwriting, and closing significant real estate transactions.
• Expertise in financial modeling, valuation techniques, and real estate market analysis.
• In-depth knowledge of the Stellenbosch and broader Western Cape property markets.
• Strong negotiation, leadership, and communication skills.
• Experience in portfolio management and asset optimization.
• Proficiency in relevant software and financial databases.
• Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment, balancing strategic thinking with practical execution.
