The purpose of the Fiduciary Portfolio Oversight Manager is to coordinate, guide and manage a team of Fiduciary Oversight Portfolio Analysts and Specialists who perform detailed oversight of the administration and conduct of collective investment schemes (management companies). The role ensures safekeeping of assets and protection of participatory interest holders while providing accurate intelligence, trend analyses and regular reporting to improve oversight decisions. Responsibilities Provide guidance to collective investment scheme management companies to protect participatory interest holders. Improve business decisions with accurate intelligence and trend analysis. Accumulate information to review progress and inform reporting and decision-making. Implement, monitor and control business processes according to quality standards, policy, compliance and governance. Develop, align and implement end-to-end processes based on customer journey maps. Research, enable and consult on technology and platform improvements. Suggest innovative ideas to streamline processes, reduce risk, drive efficiencies and minimise redundancy. Manage team delivery against goals. Handle performance moderation, disciplinary action, recognition and retention in line with HR policies. Participate in Talent Management practices and processes. Implement employment equity plan targets in recruitment and employee movement. Set clear goals, provide direction, coaching and feedback to employees. Transfer skills across specific functions. Resolve conflicts and respond to complaints or concerns. Set stretch goals and motivate achievement. Promote teamwork and inclusivity, respecting diversity. Collaborate with team members to achieve success. Share information and knowledge that benefits the team. Contribute to a development culture where successes, issues, trends and ideas are shared. Build and sustain collaborative relationships with peers and stakeholders. Participate in specialist communities of practice. Qualifications Post‑Graduate degree in Finance, Accounting or Investment Management. Additional certifications such as CAIA, CFA, CIPM or FRM are advantageous. Experience and Skills 3–5 years of experience in a similar environment, with 1–2 years at junior or entry‑level management. Strong understanding of the regulatory framework within the Collective Investment Scheme industry. Knowledge of risk management, accounting and investment principles for Collective Investment Schemes. Understanding of the administration and oversight of Collective Investment Schemes. Excellent organizational skills to prioritize multiple tasks in a dynamic environment. Excellent communication and analytical skills in written and spoken English. Excellent judgment and ability to anticipate legal issues or risks. Proactive problem‑solving approach. Ability to process information quickly and apply it to find solutions.
