About Our Company NWU – Faculty of Health Sciences – Centre for Health and Human Performance – Position Number TB00325 – Vacancy: Coach (Junior Human Movement Scientist) – Peromnes Grade T99 – Employment Type: 1 – Year Temporary Fixed-Term Appointment Key Responsibilities Service Delivery: Provide sports science and human movement science services within CHHP contributing to third income. Teaching and Learning: Conduct sport science protocol training for students. Management: Serve as project co-leader for service level agreements across rugby, soccer, hockey, tennis, and athletics at NWU and surrounding schools. Administration: Capture data, monitor reports, program feedback, and other administrative tasks using AMS and related systems. Minimum Requirements An honours degree in Human Movement Science (NQF level 8). BLS certification. A minimum of one year client full-service delivery experience in human movement science at university or school level. A minimum of one year teaching, learning, and training experience working with students/learners. Added Advantages & Preferences An honours degree in Sports Science (NQF level 8). Level I Kinanthropometry. Key Functional/Technical Competencies Service provider in Human Movement Science, able to work in a multi-disciplinary field. Teaching and learning for rotation of Human Movement Science students. Experience with specialized equipment: Watt Bike, Cybex, SVT Vision Board, Smart Speed, Inbody, Force Plates, Vo₂max, Power plates, Micro gate. Experience as Human Movement Scientist in Rugby, Soccer, Hockey, Tennis, and/or Athletics (Various Events). Client evaluation, verbal feedback, and report recommendation skills. Computer literate with MS Office, electronic calendars, and cloud-based database systems. Proficiency with Zoom or MS Teams communication platforms.
