This is a role for a skilled and experienced FM with a minimum of 20-plus years of work experience. A very specific role for a very specific candidate. The skillset we are looking for is the standard Financial Management skills but the role is for a specific person who is calm, can manage a small team and be part of an international team. Requirements:

  • Matric with a Financial Accounting Degree OR Diploma with relevant and proven FM work experience
  • Good Knowledge of MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using financial Excel functions)
  • Hands-on experience with accounting software, like SAGE EVOLUTION with MULTI CURRENCY, Stock, and Serial number tracking to name a few - this is VERY important.
  • FOREX payments in multi currencies
  • Good-all-round understanding of Bookkeeping procedures
  • Excellent English communication - both written and verbal

Duties:

  • Create and process daily transactions
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable
  • Review and process reimbursements
  • Prepare Cashflow's
  • Various ad hoc reports on sales and CFC transactions
  • Timeous monitoring of Statutory payments - Tax/VAT/PAYE
  • Identify and reconcile ledger account discrepancies
  • Management and processing of payroll processes

KEY POINTS:

ACCOUNTING SOFTWARE - SAGE EVOLUTION - Maintain effective accounting and bookkeeping systems and procedures.

MONTHLY MANAGEMENT ACCOUNTS - Provisions/Accruals/Ledger Reconciliations. Manage and reconcile Accounts Payable , as well as Accounts Receivable .

STOCK PROCESS - Check all landed costings of overseas stock purchases from suppliers, this includes reconciliations and FOREX payments.

Maintain 5 CASH Books for local and foreign transactions

PAYMENTS / BANKING - all forex and local payments

PAYROLL - Oversee the payroll/submission of EMP201 return via e-filing

VAT - Submission and reconciliation - Monthly

INSURANCE - Maintenance and claims

STOCK TAKE

Oversee bi-annual stock take procedure and set up and management including adjustments/re-allocations/reconciliations/code creation/queries and ad hoc training and assistance

YEAR-END - Arrange Audit - Key Audit Liaison and assistance

CASH FLOW - Monthly Local and Foreign Cashflows

STAFF LIAISON AND TRAINING - SAGE procedures and various ad hoc ways of doing things.
