We are seeking astronomy experts with Olympiad or research backgrounds to join an AI-driven project focused on advancing astronomical reasoning. In this role, you’ll design rigorous, Olympiad-style problems that challenge the limits of AI understanding and help train next-generation reasoning systems. This short-term, high-impact, and fully remote opportunity is ideal for experienced problem writers, Olympiad medalists, or astronomy educators passionate about bridging science and artificial intelligence. Key Responsibilities Design original, advanced astronomy problems modelled after International Astronomy Olympiad (IAO) standards. Evaluate AI-generated solutions for scientific accuracy, reasoning depth, and clarity. Identify logical errors, missing derivations, and gaps in problem-solving rigor. Deliver accurate, well-structured solutions using LaTeX formatting. Maintain the highest levels of scientific precision and conceptual clarity. Qualifications Proven experience as an IAO participant, medalist, coach, problem setter, or equivalent (e.g., RAO, USAAO, INAO, EuAO). Graduate-level expertise or research experience in Astronomy, Astrophysics, or related Physical Sciences. Strong problem-writing and analytical reasoning skills.
