Cost Accountant Reference: NFR -BM-1 My client, a market leader in the retail and manufacturing industry, is seeking a Cost Accountant to be a part of their amazing team. Duties & Responsibilities The successful candidate will assist the CFO and will be required to perform full costing functions for the business.Duties and Responsibilities : Financial Analysis: Conduct detailed analysis of financial data to identify cost-saving opportunities, inefficiencies, and areas for improvement within the company's operations. Costing: Utilize costing methods to accurately determine the cost of production of various products. Budgeting and Forecasting: Assist in the development of budgets and forecasts by providing insights into cost trends and variances, ensuring alignment with overall business objectives. Inventory Management: Oversee inventory valuation, reconciliation, and control processes to ensure accurate financial reporting. Variance Analysis: Analyze and interpret variances between actual and budgeted costs, investigating reasons for discrepancies and recommending corrective actions as necessary. Cost Control: Implement cost control measures to optimize operational efficiency, reduce production costs, and maximize profitability. Process Improvement: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction initiatives, driving continuous improvement efforts across the company. Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports to support decision-making by management. Audit Support: Assist in internal and external audits by providing documentation, explanations, and analysis related to costs, ensuring compliance with audit requirements and regulatory standards. Skills and Qualifications Bcom Accounting degree CIMA would be advantageous SAP or similar ERP experience Exposure in a Manufacturing industry would be advantageous Package & Remuneration R - R #J-18808-Ljbffr
