Join Our Team as a Branch Accountant Reference: NFR -PaB-1 Be at the forefront of financial excellence Duties & Responsibilities My client is a dynamic and rapidly expanding educational institution committed to providing high-quality learning experiences.This role is based in Rosebank, Johannesburg North. Responsibilities: Financial Planning, Forecasting, and Budgeting: Develop detailed budgets for each campus after consulting with management and analyzing historical data. Assist Principals and Managers during the budget compilation process. Monitor performance, conduct variance analysis, and provide advice to Principals and Brand Finance Manager. Analyze trends, highlighting areas of concern monthly. Coordinate with Group Shared Services on revenue collection and fixed assets. Financial/Management Accounting: Reconcile billing and payments monthly and annually. Confirm inter-company loans. Support Principals and Brand Management with financial guidance. Prepare complex account reconciliations and review recon prepared by others. Handle queries from campuses and liaise with Group Shared Services. Financial/Management Reporting: Analyze financial performance of campuses and brands. Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual reports. Manage cash flow and prepare management accounts. Submit monthly MANCO reports on time. Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures. Assist in internal and external audits, addressing queries and findings. Provide training on financial policies and procedures. Approve expenditure as per authorization matrix. Ensure timely submission of statutory returns. Staff Management: Manage workflow and ensure deadlines are met. Identify critical skills necessary for service delivery. Ensure staff are adequately trained. Qualifications and Skills: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field. Working experience in a Shared Service company (non-negotiable) Proficiency in accounting software and MS Office suite. If you are interested in this opportunity, please apply directly.
