Industrial Site Base Emergency Care Practitioner

Main Purpose of the Job To deliver excellent critical care within a site-based environment using sound clinical judgment and current evidence, and to display clinical leadership with ER24. Appointment is subject to successful completion of a physical fitness and medical assessment. Key Responsibility Areas Oversee and ensure operational readiness for emergency calls. Administer patient care in line with scope of practice. Provide professional emergency services to site-based clients. Provide basic shift administration services. Required Education ESSENTIAL EDUCATION : Bachelor of Technology (BTech) in Emergency Medical Care or Bachelor of Emergency Medical Care. Desired Education Completion of training related to Clinical Practice Guidelines published by the Health Professions Council of South Africa is advantageous. If not compliant at the time of application, this training will be required during the probation period for successful candidates. Required Experience ESSENTIAL MINIMUM EXPERIENCE : Newly qualified ECP / Operational EMS experience. Desired Experience Previous EMS Operational experience. Required Job Skills and Knowledge Facilities, travel routes and demographic area. Application of best practice. Comprehensive completion of Patient Report Forms. EMS environment. Proficiency in the English language (written and verbal). Computer literate (Microsoft Office). Mine Health and Safety Act. Codes of Practice within Mine Health and Safety Act.
