Prepare and present periodic financial reports to local and regional management. Overall planning, forecasting and preparation of the annual company budgets. Develop accurate financial scenarios; analyse potential impact of a variety of economic conditions on the company's revenues and plan for realistic outcomes. Develop relevant forecasts in line with the strategic goals of the company while considering economic and market factors. Review budget versus actual variance reports and provide recommendations to close gaps. Analyse financial statements and other performance indicators and provide the necessary feedback and recommendations. Advise departmental managers on expenditure control. Implement cost effective administrative systems and ensure smooth operations of financial processes. Manage the appraisal of all new business proposals, projects, and partnerships and advise the Country Manager. Cash flow management: Manage company's debtor's portfolio through effective and efficient execution of the credit control function. Ensure sufficient financial liquidity in line with the budget and company objectives. Manage company's credit portion and ensure that creditor's terms are clear and respected. Control Function Continuously updates the Finance procedures manual, review and amend policies and provide guidance to users. Manage internal resources and securing the company assets. Responsible for the company's financial risk exposure and to identify areas of raising efficiency and effectiveness and to improve financial performance. Manage financial technologies/tools and recommend improvements to enhance efficient reporting and forecasting. Oversee data security in line with data privacy laws in place. Monitor and ensure full compliance with statutory obligations. Staff support Ensure right accounting staffing is in place. Manage, coach, motivate and support Finance team; develop Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for all team members, coach and monitor progress during the performance period and evaluate team performance. Identify training needs and follow up to ensure that skills gaps are closed. Organize and conduct efficient departmental meetings regularly and follow up to ensure action point are implemented by the responsible staff. Ensure training of users and full adoption of financial technologies across the company. Maintain amicable relation with external business partners: financiers, regulatory bodies, customers, suppliers and other parties with a stake in the business. Ensure timely external and Tax audits are closed conclusively, address all audit queries/ implement recommendations. Any other duties as may be assigned by supervisor from time to time. Minimum Job Requirements Education: Bachelor of Commerce (Accounting or Finance option) or Bachelor of Business Administration (Accounting or Finance option). Professional qualification in either ACCA or CMA or CPA. Professional Experience: At least three (3) years' experience in financial management role in a reputable organization preferably in auditing or private sector organizations in a managerial role. Competencies: Leadership skills, Budgeting skills, Financial reporting skills, High degree of integrity, Analytical skills; A keen eye for detail and aptitude to probe data; Risk assessment & management skills, Planning, Administrative and organizing skills, Practical experience in using Advanced Excel and good grasp of financial technologies. Knowledge and practical use of Oracle Enterprise system will be an added advantage.
