IT Specialist
A dynamic manufacturing organization based in the East Rand is looking to employ a IT Support Specialist / Manager with 5 years’ experience.
Duties & Responsibilities
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12
Relevant BCom Degree in IT from a reputable institution
5 years relevant and proven work experience
Valid Driver’s License and own vehicle
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work in fast-paced and driven company environment
Managing and solving all IT related tasks in production areas, e.g. equipment, computers, networks, etc.
Make recommendations about purchase of technology resources, improvements, best practices, etc
Research current and potential resources and services
Handle confidential information in accordance with current policies and procedures
Develop and maintain local and international networks in ways that optimize performance
Maintenance of a knowledge base of procedures and solutions to commonly reported faults
Connection and setup of hardware and maintenance thereof
Loading of all required software and the maintenance thereof; ensuring software licensing compliance
Ensure that technology is accessible and equipped with current hardware and software.
Ability to install, administer, maintain and troubleshoot all hardware, software and network operating systems.
Operational tasks e.g. analyzing and diagnosing of computer hardware, software and network problems. Installation, replacement and testing of new and repaired hardware
