Contract: 6-Month Contract (with possibility of extension) Compensation: Basic Salary + Uncapped Commission , plus Fuel Allowance Reports to: Sales Director Purpose the Role >To drive new business acquisition across mobile, fixed, IoT, cloud and digital solutions in the telecommunications sector. The role focuses on identifying and closing new accounts, building strong commercial relationships, and delivering high-value solutions that support business growth. Key Responsibilities Proactively identify, prospect and secure new business clients within SME, Corporate and Enterprise segments. Build and maintain a healthy sales pipeline , ensuring accurate tracking through CRM systems. Engage with key decision-makers (IT Managers, CIOs, Procurement, Business Owners) to understand needs and propose tailored telecom solutions. Prepare presentations, proposals and detailed costings for clients. Lead contract negotiations, pricing discussions and commercial terms in collaboration with internal stakeholders. Achieve monthly and quarterly new business acquisition targets , including revenue, margin and number of new accounts. Coordinate with the operations, provisioning, product and support teams to ensure seamless handover and onboarding of newly signed clients. Analyse market trends, competitor offerings and changes in telecoms products, pricing and coverage. Submit weekly reports, pipeline updates and accurate sales forecasts. Minimum Requirements Matric (Grade 12) – compulsory Higher Diploma in Sales, Marketing, Business, IT, or Telecommunications Minimum 3 years Telco industry experience in a direct sales or account management role Proven track record of hitting or exceeding new business sales targets Strong understanding of telecom products: Business mobile contracts Fixed connectivity (Fibre, SD-WAN, Wireless) IoT and SIM management Cloud, security and SaaS solutions Valid driver’s licence + reliable transport Proficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office Preferred/Advantageous Experience Existing network of contacts in the telecoms or ICT market Experience selling multi-network or MVNO-type products Exposure to enterprise tendering and procurement processes Experience selling cybersecurity, cloud, or IoT-based mobility solutions Key Competencies Strong hunter mentality – driven by closing deals Excellent communication and presentation skills Commercial negotiation skills High resilience, discipline and ability to work independently Professional, well-spoken and client-facing Able to manage multiple opportunities and long sales cycles Contract & Remuneration 6-month fixed-term contract, with potential extension based on performance Basic salary + uncapped commission (performance-driven structure) Fuel allowance provided to support fieldwork and client visits Commission payable on new business only No cap on quarterly earnings Working Conditions Hybrid work structure depending on client engagement requirements Daily fieldwork and client visits Fast-paced, target-driven sales environment Occasional travel between provinces if needed Location: South Africa #J-18808-Ljbffr
