About the Role
Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Automotive Workshop Manager to lead their established service center in Upington . This key leadership role involves overseeing all aspects of workshop operations, including staff management, customer service, financial performance, and operational efficiency. You will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of service quality and customer satisfaction. The ideal candidate possesses strong leadership skills, a deep understanding of automotive repair, and a proven track record in managing a profitable workshop in the Northern Cape region of Upington .
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead the team of automotive technicians, service advisors, and support staff, fostering a positive and productive work environment.
- Oversee daily workshop operations, ensuring efficient scheduling, workflow, and resource allocation.
- Monitor workshop performance against key metrics, including profitability, customer satisfaction, and productivity.
- Manage inventory of parts and supplies, controlling costs and ensuring availability for repairs.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and environmental regulations within the workshop.
Requirements
- Significant experience in automotive workshop management or a senior leadership role within the automotive service industry.
- Proven ability to manage staff, develop team performance, and drive customer satisfaction.
- Strong understanding of automotive repair processes, diagnostics, and industry best practices.
- Excellent financial management and business acumen, with experience in budgeting and P&L management.
- Valid driver's license and a strong commitment to operational excellence.
