About the Role
Our client, a prestigious beauty and event services provider in Mossel Bay, Western Cape , is seeking a talented and experienced Lead Make-up Artist & Bridal Specialist. This role demands a creative flair, impeccable technical skills, and a passion for making clients look and feel their absolute best, especially on their special day. You will be responsible for delivering high-end make-up artistry services, specializing in bridal and special occasion looks, as well as leading a small team of artists during peak seasons. The ideal candidate will be adept at understanding client needs and translating them into stunning make-up applications in the beautiful setting of Mossel Bay .
Key Responsibilities
- Performing professional make-up applications for various occasions, with a strong emphasis on bridal make-up.
- Consulting with clients to understand their desired look, skin type, and preferences.
- Creating custom make-up looks that enhance natural features and suit individual styles.
- Managing make-up kits, ensuring all products are clean, organized, and well-stocked.
- Staying updated on the latest make-up trends, techniques, and product innovations.
- Potentially leading and coordinating junior make-up artists during events.
- Maintaining impeccable hygiene standards for tools and workspace.
- Providing excellent customer service and ensuring client satisfaction.
Requirements
- Professional training and certification in Make-up Artistry.
- A minimum of 4 years of experience as a professional make-up artist, with significant experience in bridal make-up.
- A strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of make-up looks and techniques.
- Excellent understanding of colour theory and skin tones.
- Proficiency in both classic and contemporary make-up styles.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule, including travel for events.
- A passion for beauty and a keen eye for detail are essential for this role in Mossel Bay .
