Job Title: Senior BI Developer

Location: Houghton, Gauteng

They are currently seeking an experienced and highly skilled Senior BI Developer to join their dynamic team. If you have a strong background in Microsoft SQL development and Business Intelligence tools and a passion for transforming data into actionable insights, we want to hear from you.

Job Description:
As a Senior BI Developer, you will play a pivotal role in developing and maintaining their Business Intelligence solutions. You will work closely with stakeholders across the organization to ensure data accuracy, develop complex ETL processes, create insightful data visualizations, and support data-driven decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design, develop, and optimize ETL processes using SSIS.
  • Develop and maintain data cubes and mining models using SSAS.
  • Create, manage, and deploy reports using SSRS.
  • Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into BI solutions.
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity across all BI solutions.
  • Optimize and tune SQL queries and BI processes for performance.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in BI and data engineering.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to junior BI developers and data analysts.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Microsoft Certifications in Business Intelligence and/or Data Engineering are advantageous.
  • Experience with Microsoft Azure, Cloudera, and SAP HANA is advantageous.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience as a Microsoft SQL Developer.
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in SSIS (ETL Development).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in SSAS (Data Cube/Mining).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in SSRS (Report Development).
  • Minimum of 6 years of experience in Power BI (Data Visualizations).
  • Strong understanding of data warehousing concepts and methodologies.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience in the insurance industry is a plus.
