The purpose of this role, among others, is to:
• Lead the overall coordination and integration of the project and assume overall accountability and responsibility for its implementation.
• Provide strategic interface with high-level stakeholders.
• Manage the performance of the Professional Service Provider (PSP)/Contractors.
• Participate in the strategic management of the organisation.
• Manage project risk, audits and financial management in accordance with applicable regulations and standards.
Key Performance Areas
1. Manage the overall risk relating to the implementation of the project.
2. Implement appropriate project agreements.
3. Manage the coordination and integration of implementation functions.
4. Continually identify, monitor, manage, mitigate and report on project implementation risks.
5. Proactive management of staff.
6. Establish and maintain effective relationships with all high-level stakeholders.
7. Strategic positioning of projects within the organisation.
Minimum Requirements
• Honours or equivalent in the Built Environment.
• Professional Registration within the respective discipline.
• Understanding and being able to speak fluently the area language (isiXhosa) is preferred.
• Project Management qualification is an added advantage.
• 10 years’ experience in the built environment sector.
• 5 years of which must be at management level.
• Bulk raw water project experience is an added advantage.
• Clear understanding of project implementation disciplines.
