To learn more visit About the Role We are looking for an exceptional Biology Teacher to teach senior grades. Resident teachers lead instruction and planning for subject or grade level classrooms and drive a rigorous, enquiry-based learning environment. They are supported by Deans of Instruction who observe lessons, provide feedback and coaching. Resident teachers mentor apprentice teachers and participate in Nova Pioneer\'s teaching model. Key responsibilities for the role include: Deliver exceptional, real-world, enquiry-based Biology lessons that align with the Cambridge curriculum requirements Prepare students to sit IGCSE, AS, and A-level exams Deliver impactful and engaging enquiry-based lessons supported by technology to enhance instructional delivery Observe, coach, and be a model teacher for new teachers Infuse joy and passion for learning into lessons so that students are excited about and invested in their academic excellence Set and communicate rigorous and ambitious goals for all students and provide feedback so they internalise it Conduct ongoing assessment of student progress and use data to adjust instructional content and delivery techniques Attend weekly feedback meetings with Deans and learning designers to enhance teaching practices Fully participate in opportunities for professional growth including daily team meetings, weekly professional development, instructional coaching, and organization-wide learning Communicate regularly with parents via email, telephone and parent-teacher conferences Contribute to and participate in co-curricular programming for at least one activity per term Participate in collaborative teams and committees and fulfill supervision duties as assigned, including occasional morning, evening and weekend events About You Skills and Qualifications required: A Bachelor’s Degree in Science with Biology as a major or a similar degree + Post Graduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) is essential You have studied Biology to the third year level at university You have taught Biology at the upper senior school level (Grade 10 - 12 experience) Experience and/or understanding of Cambridge curriculum objectives SACE registered Ability to lead a classroom independently Passion for teaching and belief in each student\'s success Understanding of enquiry-based, student-centered learning Ability to connect with the specific age group you teach You are a team player and enjoy group problem solving Adept at using technology for instruction How to Apply Does working at Nova Pioneer excite you?
