Job Description What you’ll be doing if you get the job:As a Data Analyst, you will be responsible for collecting, analyzing, and interpreting complex data sets to provide valuable insights and support strategic decision-making within the organization. You will collaborate closely with various teams across the company to uncover patterns, trends, and opportunities that drive operational efficiency and improve customer experience. Who you’ll report to:You’ll be based within our Information and Communication Technology division at our Sandton, Johannesburg head office. You’ll report to the Manager: ICT. Your knowledge: Data Collection and Processing: Gather and consolidate data from multiple sources, including internal databases, external APIs, and third-party vendors. Cleanse, validate, and preprocess data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Data Analysis and Visualization: Utilize statistical techniques and data mining algorithms to analyze large datasets and extract meaningful insights. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders. Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and priorities. Provide analytical support and insights to assist in the development and implementation of business initiatives and process improvements. Your Skills: Team player: Collaborating and working effectively with team members and other departments to achieve shared goals and foster a positive team environment. Process champion: Advocating for efficient and effective processes within the ICT team, identifying areas for improvement, and implementing process enhancements. Customer champion: Ensuring that ICT solutions and services meet the needs and expectations of internal and external customers. Risk mitigator: Identifying potential risks and vulnerabilities within ICT systems and processes, implementing risk mitigation strategies, and ensuring business continuity. Solutioner: Analyzing business requirements and translating them into feasible ICT solutions, evaluating options, and recommending appropriate technologies. Knowledge manager: Promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the ICT team. Relationship builder: Developing and nurturing relationships with key stakeholders, including vendors and external partners. Your Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in Data Analysis are advantageous. Relevant certifications or training in Excel. Proven experience in Data Analytics, preferably within the ICT or insurance sector. Your Experience: Strong organizational and multitasking abilities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in office software, including MS Office suite. Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information. #J-18808-Ljbffr
