Technical Trainer: Engineering (Winder Electrician) Job Openings Technical Trainer: Engineering (Winder Electrician) About the job Technical Trainer: Engineering (Winder Electrician) DATE OF DISTRIBUTION: CLOSING DATE: DEPARTMENT / DOMAIN: SERVICES - IMS PURPOSE OF THE JOB: To provide Skills Development initiatives and continuously improve competency of our workforce in order to satisfy business needs and meet safety & legal requirements. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS: Valid Electrical Certificate (Section 13) or Equivalent is essential. 3 years working experience as Winder Electrical HT artisan is essential. Certificate- Education Training and Development qualification will be an advantage. Computer literacy (MS Office packages) is essential. Assessor and/or Moderator qualification will be an advantage. Completion of winder modules will be advantageous. Winder and Shaft experience will be a distinct advantage. Valid medical certificate or be medically fit in order to obtain such a certificate is essential. COMPETENCIES: Must have a good interpersonal, organisational and communication skills Facilitation skills and Presentation skills are essential Must have report writing and supervisory skills KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS: Ensure effective supervision of training staff. Ensure compliance with Impala standards, procedures and legal requirements (e.g. Mine Health & Safety Act.) Continuously revise current learning material. Design and develop learning material. Ensure proper assessment processes which will include moderation. Attend HRD meetings where appropriate. Ensure effective theoretical, practical and on-the-job training and coaching of trainees. Conduct gap analysis and take appropriate action to identify risks. Ensure that all work procedures are carried out in accordance with safety standards and practices.
