Admitted Attorney

Afrikaans Admitted Attorney (Litigation/commercial/ corporate and family law), Mbombela, RNeg LLB or equivalent law degree from a recognized South African university. Admitted as an Attorney of the High Court of South Africa. 2–3 years post-admission experience, preferably in litigation, commercial, corporate, and family law. Afrikaans Home Language Experience drafting court documents, contracts, and agreements. Knowledge of South African corporate, commercial, and family law legislation . Skills and Competencies: Excellent drafting, negotiation, and advocacy skills . Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. High level of professionalism, ethics, and confidentiality. Exceptional client management and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple matters under tight deadlines. Proficiency in MS Office, LexisNexis, Juta). Litigation: Draft and review pleadings, affidavits, notices, and other court documents. Prepare and manage case files for hearings and trials. Represent clients in court, including motion proceedings, trials, and urgent applications. Liaise with counsel, clients, and opposing attorneys. Advise clients on litigation strategy and potential risks. Commercial / Corporate Law: Draft, review, and negotiate commercial contracts, agreements, and memoranda of understanding. Advise clients on company law, corporate governance, and regulatory compliance. Assist in mergers, acquisitions, and restructuring matters. Conduct due diligence and provide reports on commercial transactions. Family Law: Draft and manage agreements, including antenuptial contracts, settlement agreements, and divorce documentation. Represent clients in family law matters such as divorces, maintenance disputes, and custody issues. Provide strategic advice on family-related legal matters. General Responsibilities: Conduct legal research and prepare legal opinions. Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and professional standards. Maintain accurate and up-to-date client and matter records. Attend client meetings, hearings, and negotiations as required. Assist senior attorneys with complex cases and matters. Keep abreast of legal developments in relevant areas of law.
