Prevents the spread of communicable diseases. Promotes nutritional status of patients. Monitors intake and output in patients. Maintains proper record keeping. Ensures effective supervision of subordinates. Participates in ward/units quality improvement programme. Ensures that health and professional regulations are adhered to. Prevents medico legal hazards at all costs. Maintains safety and the well-being of health care workers. Ensures and maintains a therapeutic environment as always as possible.
