Position Service Controller Location Pretoria Reports to Managing Director Role Overview The Service Controller will act as the central point of coordination between clients and the service / repair team. The role involves managing client communication, preparing quotations, scheduling and coordinating technician activities, overseeing related administrative tasks, and supporting stock control processes. The incumbent must be organised, disciplined, and client-focused, with strong communication and administrative skills. Key Responsibilities Provide professional liaison with clients regarding quotations, scheduling of service / repair visits, and payment collection. Plan, prioritise, and coordinate the daily work and travel schedules of service / repair technicians. Prepare and issue quotations, job cards, and parts lists required for service jobs. Manage administrative processes including checking stock, ordering parts, preparing and packing parts / documentation, invoicing, and ensuring timely payment collection. Assist with stock control, including oversight of technicians' administrative duties and adherence to company policies. Support walk-in customers and manage courier-related interactions. Process and execute client consumables orders. Provide first-line telephonic support and limited troubleshooting after training. Ensure accuracy and timeliness in all administrative and reporting activities. Prepare limited monthly management information reports. Actively contribute to improving overall service levels and client satisfaction. Required Skills & Competencies Strong service orientation with excellent interpersonal skills. Effective written, verbal, and telephonic communication. Highly disciplined, organised, and able to prioritise effectively. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Knowledge of Sage Cloud Business Accounting (advantageous). Ability to function effectively as part of a team. Willingness to acquire technical product knowledge quickly. Punctual and reliable. Qualifications & Experience Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar service coordination or administrative role (preferable). Access to own transport is preferable.
