MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS - Matric
- Agricultural Diploma / Degree advantageous
- Previous farming experience with livestock essential
- Knowledge of irrigation essential
- A person who can think on their feet and can independently make a plan
- Willingness to learn
- Strong communications skills
- must have self-confidence and be able to work with people.
- Punctuality and good management are of utmost importance
- Ability to motivate and work with staff
- Maintenance orientated advantageous
- Must be willing to work shifts
- Valid drivers license
- Full responsibility for broilers pigs and sheep farming.
- On the fruit side, take control of the irrigation and fertilization.
- This includes collecting all data and working out feed turnover and the management of good practices with regard to chicken farming.
- The chickens will be his main focus for the whole year.
- Irrigation and fertilization are seasonal but must also be managed well and correctly.
- In season, water is regularly pumped at weekends and the manager is expected to do this and take care.
