Overview Senior Solutions Architect – Financial Services & Banking Industry – Senior Manager | Gauteng Posted today Job Description: full-time Responsibilities Lead and deliver large-scale technology transformation programs in financial services, focusing on cloud, data-driven modernization, and architecture delivery. Collaborate with Strategy, Engineering, AI & Data, and Delivery Management teams to imagine, design and deliver solutions that meet business objectives. Define and tailor fit‑for‑purpose implementation approaches, combining Agile and traditional delivery practices. Lead cross‑functional teams of technical SMEs; establish architecture transformation strategies, roadmaps, and delivery backlogs. Manage budgets, forecasting and the financial aspects of solutions delivery; monitor delivery performance and drive continuous improvement. Engage with executives and stakeholders to ensure alignment between business goals and technical execution. Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related technical/professional field. 7-10 years of experience planning, architecting, and implementing complex financial services modernization initiatives. 3-5 years in client-facing advisory, delivery and business development roles. Experience as Lead Solution Architect at an enterprise level; proven track record in technology, cloud and data-driven modernization. Technical Mastery Extensive experience in complex solutions architecture and delivery using cloud/hybrid cloud architectures. Deep systems integration and orchestration for traditional batch and real-time patterns. Proficiency in Cloud Networking, Authentication & Authorization. Data architecture experience (Big Data, AI/GenAI, Analytics, ETL/ELT). Experience with Serverless and decoupled architectures; Security by Design; IaC deployments. Understanding of Cloud Native Services vs SaaS and third‑party services. Relevant training and certifications in industry/domain areas. Delivery & Leadership Design and implement innovative propositions leveraging leading‑edge platforms and Fintech. Lead architectural transformation for clients, turning ideas into tangible solutions. Servant leadership to create delivery predictability in a complex environment. Define architecture transformation strategy, roadmaps, and delivery flight plans. Build and lead diverse teams of technical SMEs to achieve client outcomes. Plan, budget, forecast and control financial aspects of delivery; coach and mentor team members. Facilitate issue resolution, blockers, escalations; monitor performance and drive improvements. Executive Presence & Industry Expertise Ability to engage executive business and technical stakeholders; strong communication.
