IT BUSINESS ANALYST WANTED - Location: Cape Town Employment Type: Two weeks Contract from the 21st November We're looking for an experienced and driven IT Business Analyst to assist in a project for a micro lending company based in Cape Town. If you're passionate about technology, problem‑solving, and transforming business needs into smart digital solutions, this role is for you. As our IT Business Analyst, you'll play a key role in improving business efficiency through innovative technology initiatives. You'll collaborate across departments to understand challenges, define system requirements, and help deliver IT solutions that make a real impact. This role is specifically to capture business requirements for an existing micro lending company that will be used in sourcing the right CRM tool to enhance its current operations. Key Responsibilities Engage with business users to gather, analyze, and document system and process requirements. Translate business needs into detailed functional and technical specifications. Evaluate and enhance existing systems and processes through technology‑driven solutions. Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders throughout the business requirements gathering phase. Develop process maps, use cases, user stories, and other documentation. Support testing, implementation, and user adoption of new IT systems. Ensure that IT initiatives align with business strategy and objectives. Requirements Bachelor's degree in information technology, Computer Science, or related field. 3–5 years' experience as a Business Analyst within an IT or software environment. Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, and/or Waterfall methodologies. Proficiency with tools such as Jira, Confluence, MS Visio, or similar. Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills. Ability to interpret technical details and present them in clear business terms. Preferred Qualifications CBAP, CCBA, or Agile / Scrum certification. ITIL Foundation certification is advantageous. Experience with SQL or data analysis tools is a plus.
