Job & Company Description:

A client of mine based in Cape Town is seeking an experienced and strategic interim (CFO) to oversee the financial operations of the organization for a period of 6 months. This role requires an individual that will be instrumental in driving financial strategy, ensuring stability, and supporting domestic and international expansion plans.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong finance background within insurance, coupled with proven leadership skills and strategic acumen.

The key responsibilities for this role will include:
  • Financial Strategy and Planning
  • Financial Management
  • Mergers and Acquisitions
  • Financial Reporting and Analysis
  • Risk Management
  • Leadership and Team Management

Qualification:
  • Postgraduate qualification Finance, Accounting, or related field;
  • MBA or CA(SA) qualification non-negotiable


Experience:
  • Proven experience as a CFO or senior finance executive in insurance or financial services, with a track record of driving financial performance
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations, and reporting requirements
  • Experience in mergers and acquisitions, including financial due diligence and deal structuring
  • Experience with negotiating commercials as well as funds with Africa countries


Skills Required:
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills
