About the job At Google, the Facilities Management team brings our spaces to life as you oversee the daily operations of our offices. In this role you will focus on reliable operation of the mechanical and electrical infrastructure of data centers, working with vendor operators. You will partner with the Google Data Center Engineering team, Hardware Operations, Network Infrastructure, and third‑party data center vendors to ensure operability, maintainability, and reliability. You will change the daily routine of physical sites while driving global excellence and client satisfaction. Minimum qualifications Associate's degree, trade school certification, or other certified training in a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. 9 years of experience in operations management and facilities management. Preferred qualifications Experience working in data center environments, including building and operating infrastructure. Experience with initiating and executing initiatives in a global environment. Ability to perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third‑party sites. Ability to forecast resource requirements in a data‑driven way. Excellent problem‑solving skills. Responsibilities Own third‑party data centers operation within an area/region with full accountability for that region. Support site selection process through operational and technical knowledge. Perform operational assessment and risk analysis of third‑party data center sites. Keep main stakeholders informed about current work and discuss decisions and directions with them.
