Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor - Kwa Mashu Apply for the Branch Consultant/Financial Advisor - Kwa Mashu role at Sanlam . SDM offers a range of simple and affordable financial solutions covering funeral insurance, savings for education, life cover and personal accident plans. SDM is managed by the SA Retail Mass cluster within the Sanlam Group. Purpose of Role To promote Sanlam Retail Mass (SRM) products and increase market share by providing sound financial advice and a high level of client service in a branch context and by creating opportunities for client optimisation and cross-sell of value-added services. Key Responsibilities Deliver sales and provide qualified financial advice. Maintain in-depth knowledge of SRM product ranges. Understand customer needs and provide appropriate product solutions. Update clients on new or changed products and manage implications on portfolios. Validate client details and submit new business through correct channels. Conduct due diligence to identify and flag risks. Prioritise daily appointments while handling walk-in/non-appointment clients. Service all client profiles and retain clients. Send payment reminders, follow‑ups, and manage NTU reporting. Consult on alternative payment arrangements. Handle in-branch servicing, product cancellations, and client queries; escalates as needed. Adhere to compliance, quality standards and maintain CPD points. Identify and flag fraudulent activities; store records of advice. Log activities, report daily and deliver weekly/monthly reports. Perform ad-hoc requirements requested by Retail Branch Manager. Qualifications Matric (Grade 12). RE5 advantageous. FAIS compliant (Wealth Management) per DOFA requirements. Class of Business training (to be completed within 12 months of employment). Personal Attributes Business insight – independent contribution. Decision quality – independent contribution. Team building – independent contribution. Planning and aligning – independent contribution. Turnaround Time The shortlisting process will only start once the application due date has been reached.
