Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Understanding Customer Requirements: Interpret inquiries and requests for quotations from existing and prospective customers to establish initial understanding of customer needs.
  • Customer Liaison: Build further understanding of customer requirements by engaging with customers directly.
  • Proposal Development: Determine key objectives and possible options for proposals in line with product decisions. Coordinate the supply of necessary information, organize estimates, and define scope of supply.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with Engineering, Commercial, and Project Managers to evaluate technical risk and commercial terms.
  • Supplier Coordination: Prepare RFQs for suppliers/subcontractors against specifications and terms & conditions.
  • Tender Specifications: Compile comprehensive tender specifications, including prices, commercial conditions, comments, deviations, and technical specifications for presentation to the customer.
  • Customer Support: Act as focal point for customer queries regarding proposal submissions to reach agreement and build positive ongoing relationships.
  • Proposal Management: Monitor progress and status of proposals, maintaining accurate records

To be considered for this role, you should have:
  • A Bachelors degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering
  • At least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in MS Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
