Introduction: Title: Senior Construction Manager Industry: Construction Location: Johannesburg, Extensive Travel Cost to Company: R1 200 000 per annum (CTC) Our client is seeking a seasoned Senior Construction Manager to lead large-scale residential developments. With 20+ years' experience, the ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who balances technical expertise with strategic oversight, while mentoring teams and giving back to the industry. For applications and enquiries email Responsibilities Oversee and manage the end-to-end delivery of large-scale residential property development projects. Provide leadership, mentorship, and guidance to project teams, site managers, and contractors. Ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality and safety. Develop and implement construction strategies, schedules, and methodologies. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders including developers, contractors, consultants, and local authorities. Monitor compliance with all legal, safety, and environmental regulations. Drive continuous improvement, knowledge transfer, and innovation across the business. Travel regularly to project sites to provide hands-on oversight and support. Qualifications & Experience 20+ years’ proven experience in large-scale construction management, ideally within residential property development. Strong track record of delivering multi-million-rand developments successfully. Exceptional people management and leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop teams. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, project management, and compliance requirements. Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field preferred. Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and negotiation skills.
