About the Role
Our client is looking for a highly organized and proactive Remote Dispatcher to join their logistics operations team, working from home. This role is crucial for coordinating and managing delivery schedules, ensuring efficiency and customer satisfaction across multiple service areas. You will be the central point of communication for drivers, clients, and operational staff, utilizing advanced dispatch software. The ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, remote environment, possesses excellent problem-solving skills, and has a strong understanding of logistics and transportation management. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and optimize driver schedules and delivery routes using dispatch software.
- Communicate effectively with drivers to provide instructions, updates, and support.
- Monitor shipment progress and proactively address any delays or issues.
- Serve as a liaison between drivers, customers, and internal departments.
- Maintain accurate records of dispatch activities, delivery confirmations, and incidents.
- Respond to inquiries and resolve problems related to deliveries and logistics.
Requirements
- Proven experience in logistics, dispatch, or a related operational role.
- Proficiency with dispatch and fleet management software.
