DO NOT send your CV or job application to Responsibilities Ensure compliance of timekeeping, productive output, discipline and work programmes of the truck workshop execution team, with assistance from engineering management as required. Manage attendance and timekeeping by executing all required administrative processes (time sheets, leave, daily attendance registers). Liaise with HR regarding any concerns, issues or disciplinary matters of staff. Distribute overtime evenly across the team. Review training requirements of workshop staff and report needs to the Engineering Manager and/or Directors. Ensure all maintenance activities on the fleet of vehicles, trucks, trailers, etc. are performed to standard and on time. Lead and manage the productivity and efficiency of all workshop activities, with assistance from engineering management as required. Ensure machinery, equipment and tools are regularly checked as per the Safety File for the department. Maintain high levels of housekeeping in the workshop and report any issues or improvements to the Engineering Manager and/or Directors. Take ownership and manage the CWorks processes for the truck workshop, with assistance from engineering management as required. Monitor quality and efficiency of the team’s work programmes and report any issues or improvements to the Engineering Manager and/or Directors. Investigate breakdowns and provide accurate feedback. Manage manpower utilisation and ensure it remains above 75% of allocated work hours. Ensure compliance with legal requirements, company and Health & Safety rules, policies and regulations, including the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Perform any other tasks agreed with the Engineering Manager and/or Directors suitable for this level of leadership. Qualifying Criteria Minimum Grade 12 education or equivalent. Qualified Diesel Mechanic Red Seal Trade Test certificate. Code 14 Driver’s License and valid PDP. Previous management or leadership experience. Minimum of 10 years relevant working experience. Computer literacy (MS Word, MS Excel). Strong administrative ability. Experience working with a CMMS. Knowledge of the Occupational Health & Safety Act. Sound communication skills (understand, read and write English). Must be prepared to work overtime when required. Qualifying Attributes Physically fit to handle materials and tools. Hands‑on practical approach to the job. Good interpersonal and leadership skills. Time‑management and organisational skills. Displays a professional work approach. Result‑driven. Logical and detail‑orientated. Excellence in execution standards. Commitment to a strong business ethic and integrity.
