About the Role We’re looking for a Junior Bookkeeper to join our finance team in South Africa. This is a hybrid role, ideal for someone based in Johannesburg or Pretoria who is strong on detail and very comfortable with QuickBooks . You will work closely with the Senior Bookkeeper and support her with day‑to‑day bookkeeping, data capturing and reconciliations across multiple entities. Key Responsibilities Capture and process all supplier and customer invoices in QuickBooks Perform bank, credit card and loan reconciliations on a regular basis Maintain accurate general ledger postings and support journal entries Assist with accounts payable and accounts receivable follow‑ups Capture and reconcile expense claims and petty cash Help prepare supporting schedules for month‑end close Maintain organised digital filing of invoices, statements and supporting documents Support Senior Bookkeeper with ad‑hoc bookkeeping tasks and finance projects as required Requirements QuickBooks experience is non‑negotiable – solid, hands‑on use (QuickBooks Online preferred) 1–3 years’ experience in a bookkeeping / finance admin role Strong data‑capturing skills and high attention to detail Comfortable working with Excel/Google Sheets Basic understanding of bookkeeping principles (debits/credits, ledgers, VAT, etc.) Able to work independently, manage your own workload and meet deadlines Based in Johannesburg or Pretoria , with the ability to come into the office when required Bookkeeping / Accounting certificate, diploma or current studies Experience working with multiple entities or international clients Reporting Line This role reports directly to the Senior Bookkeeper and works closely with the broader finance team.
